Why Guarant invests in cedant capability

Strong cedants build strong reinsurers. Guarant invests in the technical capability of its cedants and broker partners because better-underwritten primary books produce more durable reinsurance relationships and better-aligned claims outcomes. Capacity building is a long-term commitment, not a marketing exercise — the programmes described below are resourced, measured and refined each year.

Capacity-building activities

Technical secondments

Guarant underwriters working alongside cedant teams on defined projects. Secondments transfer practical skills in underwriting, pricing and portfolio management within the cedant's own operating environment.

Joint workshops

Risk-appetite, treaty-design, claims and reserving workshops held in cedant markets. Workshops are interactive, case-study driven and tailored to the cedant's lines of business and regulatory context.

Roundtables

Closed forums for senior cedants and brokers on emerging-risk and regulatory developments. Roundtables facilitate peer exchange and help participants benchmark practices across markets.

Guarant Academy

A structured programme of certified courses for cedant staff. The Academy covers underwriting fundamentals, claims management, treaty structures and catastrophe modelling, delivered by Guarant practitioners and external specialists.

Geographic focus

Guarant's capacity-building programmes are currently focused on the Middle East, Asia and Africa, extending to other markets as the Company's footprint develops. Activities are planned in coordination with cedant partners and aligned to the markets where Guarant has active treaty and facultative relationships.
